How Do I View VSIFAX Modem Stats?

If you experience failed faxes, running these commands can help identify if the issue is affecting a single modem/phone line or multiples modems/phone lines:

grep result $VSIFAX/spool/logs/modem1* | awk '{print $6}' | sort | uniq -c | sort -rn
grep result $VSIFAX/spool/logs/modem2* | awk '{print $6}' | sort | uniq -c | sort -rn
grep result $VSIFAX/spool/logs/modem3* | awk '{print $6}' | sort | uniq -c | sort -rn
grep result $VSIFAX/spool/logs/modem4* | awk '{print $6}' | sort | uniq -c | sort -rn

Double-Take is data replication software for Linux that a number of customers use for real-time replication and high-availability of their Eclipse database servers.

Support Policy

The Eclipse Systems team will provide basic troubleshooting and triage services for Double-Take replication for customers with an active Linux Technical Support subscription. If Eclipse Support suspects a system issue is the result of the Double-Take software, we will recommend that the customer escalate the case to Double-Take support. If the customer does not have a Linux Technical Support subscription, if after-hours or if non-covered maintenance is required, a quote may be provided for billable services.

How do I resize an NTFS partition on my Windows server?

Here are a couple tools that we have found useful for resizing NTFS partitions on Windows servers:

For a commercial tool with support that supports Windows Server 2003 and 2008, try Acronis Disk Director 11 Advanced Server. A free trial is available.

For an open-source tool without support, try the gparted Live CD. This is a Linux Live CD that includes a graphical tool, gparted, that supports resizing NTFS partitions.

If you would like assistance with resizing and NTFS partition on your Windows server, the Eclipse Systems team is available for billable, after-hours services engagements. Please enter a service request with details, and a quote will be provided.

How Do I Setup or Change the IP Address on a D-Link Print Server?

In the link below you will find the utility itself called PSAdmin.  You need to install PSAdmin on a PC that is on the same network as the print server.  Be sure the print server is plugged into power and a network switch.  You can then use the PSAdmin tool to set or change the IP address (Use Manual IP, NOT DHCP), set the subnet mask which is typically 255.255.255.0 and set the Default Gateway (usually the IP address of the router at that location).  There is a detailed PDF file that has instructions for using PSAdmin to setup the DP-301 Print Server.
