- Download and burn the ESXi installation CD/DVD (download link, detailed instructions)
- Connect server’s 1st Ethernet port to LAN
- Power on server
- Configure PERC/SAS storage into a single RAID-5 array
- The system will automatically boot into the VMware installer:
- Press Enter to begin the installation
- Press F11 to accept
- Press Enter to use the RAID array
- Press F11 to begin the installation
- Press Enter to reboot
- When the installer finishes running, the server will reboot into VMware
- Eject the CD and/or select boot from local disk
- Press F2 to enter the configuration screen
- Select Configure Password to begin the installation
- Set the password
- Press ESC to exit the configuration screen
- Notify the engineer from Eclipse MSNETQ assigned to complete the build to proceed, including the DHCP IP address displayed on the console
